  2. The problem with making swearing a regular part of your dialogue, as demonstrated here, is that it becomes a far less effective method for releasing tension. People who swear a lot are opening themselves up for some serious anger management issues.

  4. If you use an epithet in front of every single word you utter, the effect is certainly reduced. The "shock" value as it were is completely gone. That said, one of my bosses sits behind me and does that, and it does make it hard to concentrate, when he adds the word fuck, to just getting coffee.
