  2. Actually he's right! If he wants he can just respect the opinions of the DICKS who started watching it at season one!

  3. After 4 1/2 seasons of watching, I respect the people who have never watched it because they don't sit through 55 boring minutes every episode for a five minute payoff at the end.

  4. This was exactly my reaction to the pilot episode, and one of the reasons it's the only episode I've watched. The other reason was the "payoff" was that his wife was sleeping with his best friend and I immediately lost interest in the kind of show that told me it was going to be.

  5. I got into TWD around season 1 as well. I watched all six episodes - tuned in for every single one of them, too. No Tivo or nothin'. And then I just lost interest. That probably earns me no hipster cred at all. I mean, there were people bored with TWD when it was still just a comic book.

    1. I thought the books were boring. My wife liked them.
After hearing how amazing the show was during season 1, we started watching season 2 (AKA - bunch of people arguing on a farm) and gave up before the season ended. I really don't understand the appeal.

    2. Mikey, by only watching "bunch of people arguing on a farm," you missed out on the season or two of "bunch of people sulking in a prison."

  6. Well! He sure showed me!

Especially since I have never watched this show. I do have a vague idea of what it is supposed to be about. I think it has zombies or something? Maybe it's vampires. Hard to tell nowadays.

  7. Slow is the new good in TV. It's actually a 'thing". Like "The Killing" - a cross between a show that never has a payoff and straight trolling of the audience. After about 3 eps of WD I realized this was like that. Just a pointless shaggy dog soap opera that's never going to go anywhere. Ever.
